Don't get me wrong, I love my designer labels and overseas holidays as much as the next Louis Vuitton shopper. I get a buzz out of fine dining and one day hope to drive a Merc. All these things give me pleasure but they're not what makes me happy. The stuff that makes me happy is usually free or roughly costs $25 to $30. Going for a drive down the coast (in my beloved Toyota Corolla), $30 petrol. Strolling on the beach during sundown, free. Fish'n'chips for two in the park, $25. Waking up next to the man that I love with my boofy hair and all, priceless. You can be with someone for money and pretend to want the same thing but without love you're kidding yourself. Love is what gives you strength when all else fails. It lifts you when things don't go your way and gives you the strength to walk away from those that don't make you happy. A priest at a friend's wedding said it perfectly when he said love isn't when you are with a man because he looks like Brad Pitt, has Einstein's brain and Woody Allen's humour. Love is when you are with a man even though he looks like Woody Allen, has Einstein's humour and Brad Pitt's brains.

Roberts sneered when told about Bell's proposed sign. "You ask , you ask , who they listened to," he said. Animal abuse should not be tolerated I was extremely upset and disturbed after reading about the man who was sentenced to serve 300 days in jail for using a rifle to knock out his dog's teeth. The dog was so badly injured that he had to endure two surgeries and have all of his teeth on one side pulled out. Why did the man do it? He claimed the dog, Harley, bit him repeatedly and that Anchorage Animal Care and Control should have a better system to screen dogs for adoption. Does that give this man any right to stab Harley repeatedly with the rifle, shoving the barrel into the dog's mouth? Harley, a Rottweiler mix, passed behavioral evaluations before being adopted by the man and the dog has not shown any signs of aggression in his new foster home. The court did not take this case lightly and the judge ordered the man to serve 300 days in jail, 10 years of probation, 160 hours of community service and pay restitution for Harley's treatment and care.
